We're wishing Neighborhood Reads a very Happy 2nd Anniversary! Stop by June 14-15 to celebrate!

If you haven't visited this charming addition to our local shop-scape, you need to make a point of stopping by! It's a book-lover's dream, and if you don't consider reading a hobby before you go in, you'll almost certainly leave with a changed perspective! The shop is open 7 days a week - plus, you can shop online and pick up your books at the store, or have them shipped!

There are so many things to love about Neighborhood Reads, but here is a not-nearly-comprehensive-enough list of some of my favorites:

Benji the Bookstore Dog
Who wouldn't love this doodle? It's a special treat for young and old when Benji is at the bookstore. The beloved mascot even had a birthday celebration at the bookstore last December!

Weekly Storytime
On Saturday mornings at 10:30, local "celebrities" read a variety of books - some themed around holidays, some cherished classics, and some new favorites!

More Than Books
Carefully selected gift items, some book-themed and others not, are sprinkled throughout the store. Some of my faves? The flair buttons and candles (the names and smells make me smile!).

Gift Certificates & Gift Subscription Program
Books are always a great gift, but if you are worried about getting a book your favorite reader already has, a gift certificate is great. Or try the subscription program and let Dawn and her staff send hand-picked books monthly!

Author Visits & Book Signings
How great for children and adults to meet a beloved author, or discover a new favorite?

Educational Programs/Special Events
This section could go on and on: open mic events, yoga, book clubs, parties, mini-camps, lettering classes, poetry nights. You really should follow them on Facebook to keep up with it all!
