​State Representative Kyle Marquart (R-109) is hosting District 109 Day at the Capitol on Wednesday, April 24, with the help of the Washington and New Haven Chambers.

Schedule of Events
  • 7:00 a.m. - Bus departs from Washington (Bank of Washington Commuter Lot, 14th Street)
  • 7:30 a.m. - Bus departs from New Haven (Seitter's Market)
  • 9:00 a.m. - arrive at Capitol
  • 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. - presentations, greeting time with government offices - Research & Development, Budget, Governor's Office
  • 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. 109th District Displays featured in 3rd floor rotunda
  • 10:00 a.m. - House of Representatives Floor Activity
  • 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. - House Lounge - presentation from Economic Development Dept., state department liaisons
  • 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Lunch (order form available for box lunch)
  • 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. - Local School Choirs perform (St. Francis Borgia High School, New Haven High School, Washington High School)
  • 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. - presentations, greeting time with government officials - Lt. Governor, Secretary of State, Treasurer
  • 2:00 p.m. - Board buses to depart Capitol

Transportation
Guests are welcome to drive themselves, or take Amtrak (departs Washington 9:16 a.m., returns at 8:24 p.m.)

Lunch
​Box lunches (turkey or ham sandwich, chips, cookie, water) are available for pre-order for $12.  Orders due by April 23.
