The Washington Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a full time Community Program Facilitator to support the efforts of the Chamber, Tourism Division, and Washington Town & Country Fair.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Excellent communication, organizational and creative skills
• Advanced knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Proven experience in event/program coordination or planning
• Team player and customer-service oriented attitude
• Ability to multitask and problem solve
• The capacity to learn and run various software programs
• Ability to be dependable, professional and have an attention to detail​

Key responsibilities:

• Planning Chamber, Washington Town & Country Fair and City Programs/Events with attention to financial and time constraints
• Understand requirements for programs and manage all program operations (preparing and scheduling venue locations, ordering supplies, invitations, booking vendors, speakers, and securing sponsorships)
• Research vendors (caterers, decorators, musicians, etc.) and choose the best of quality and cost
• Update Program Reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis as progress and commitments are made
• Ensure final checks are done the day of the event and help with set up and tear down
