2025 Chamber Re-Cap

Speech given by Tanya McCormack, 2025 Chairman of the Board of Directors, at the 2026 Business Breakfast Meeting on January 15.

​This report is my final duty as the Chairman of the 2025 Chamber Board of Directors, so I want to start by thanking our membership for electing me to the board, and my fellow board members for choosing me as Chairman.  I've enjoyed serving you, and it was an honor to lead the organization. 
We spent 2025 tweaking a few of our events, adding the new "Share & Sip" quarterly networking events, and laying the groundwork for our new Awards and Scholarships.  The program has information on the awards, alone with some photos and highlights from 2025.  Our Chamber hosted a total of 29 events, ranging from networking and education events for members, to events for the entire community to enjoy.  Whether we are shaking hands and making new business connections, or rolling pumpkins down Cedar Street, each event and program we organize supports one of the Chamber’s 4 Value Focuses – to Strengthen Business, Better the Local Economic Climate, Enhance the Quality of Life, and Promote Growth.
Last year, we also supported members with 18 Ribbon Cuttings!  Speaking of members – at the close of 2025, we had 619 members, including 87 that joined last year.  We are thrilled that entrepreneurs are choosing the Washington community for their business and recognize the value of Chamber membership, and we look forward to welcoming more members in 2026.

I won’t go through every event and benefit we offer, but we’re proud of the work we do at the Chamber to enhance our community and serve our members.  I would like to thank each of you for your investment in, and support of our Chamber of Commerce.  The work we do wouldn’t be possible without our members, and we look forward to partnering with you in 2026.
